L1 Privacy Notice

Information used for your engagement

Duke Business Advisors, Inc., doing business as Lucensys Group, provides the paid L1 engagement and is responsible for the Lucensys handling described in this notice.

Lucensys uses your name, email address, business name, billing address, purchase reference and payment status to match the purchase to your private assessment and administer the engagement. Stripe processes payment details through its hosted checkout.

The assessment collects business and owner information, selected answers and any explanations you provide, including context about AI use. Saved drafts, completion results, report versions, clarification correspondence, debrief arrangements and advisory notes may also form part of your engagement record.

Provide information you are authorized to share. Avoid including passwords, financial-account credentials or unnecessary personal information about employees, customers or other people in free-text answers.

Purposes

We use this information to verify payment, provide private assessment access, save and score your answers, prepare and review your report, plan and conduct the owner debrief, respond to questions, handle corrections and refunds, maintain business records and protect the service.

Payment does not change assessment scores or approve or release a report. A report becomes available to you only after the separate advisor review, approval and release steps.

Service providers and communications

Stripe receives the checkout information needed to process and administer the payment. Lucensys uses payment references and status to reconcile the engagement. Enter card details only in Stripe's checkout; do not send them to Lucensys by email.

The private assessment and advisor application are hosted on Vercel, with assessment responses, saved drafts, report versions and internal review records stored in Supabase. These providers also process technical information needed to operate and protect their services.

When you acknowledge assessment completion delivery, Resend processes your email address and the completion message and attachments to send your current answers and completion information to you and a separate copy to Lucensys at steve@lucensys.io. These messages can contain business-sensitive information. They are separate from the advisor-reviewed report, which is released later.

Service communications can include payment administration, your assessment invitation, clarification questions, report access and debrief scheduling. Purchasing or completing L1 does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Private access and report copies

Assessment invitations and private resume files can provide access to saved work. Keep them private and contact Lucensys if they are shared unintentionally. The service uses access cookies to maintain private access and technical records to operate the service and limit misuse.

Authorized advisors can review the assessment and internal notes. The client report view excludes private advisor notes and other clients' information. A separately released report is a copy of the approved version; a later working draft does not silently replace it.

Retention, security and your choices

Information is retained as needed to deliver the engagement, maintain legitimate business and payment records, address disputes and meet legal obligations. No fixed deletion deadline is promised. Lucensys uses safeguards for information it handles, but no system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Contact steve@lucensys.io to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for business or legal reasons. You may choose not to submit the assessment; the L1 engagement terms explain cancellation and refunds.
